What's Going On Now:

Hello and congratulations to the class of '59!

Compliments to all of the members of the reunion committee for all of their hard work, phone calls, and e-mails. The web site is fantastic and the photos are great. Thank you all for sharing.

Sorry that I won't be in town to catch up on what everyone has been up to since the last reunion. However, I will be with you in spirit and promise to raise a glass or two, at the appropriate time, in honor of the evening.

Life in general has been very kind. Shortly after our last reunion, we moved from Ohio to St. Louis. Six years ago we headed to OKC and are quite pleased with the way things have worked out.

As for the personal stuff:

  • 3 children are all married. One in St. Louis, one in Dallas, and one in Sydney, Australia.
  • 4 grandsons, 2 in St. Louis and 2 in Dallas.
  • 1 wife, who has instructed me not to make any disparaging remarks about her if I want to celebrate our 40th anniversary next March.
  • Am still a hacker at golf but love it.
  • Annually test the laws of physics by water skiing - did so about a month ago.
  • Will probably be working until our retirement funds are replenished (or a long, long time).

Question for the class: does anyone else remember a day in late spring of '59 when a group of St. E alums celebrating their 50th stopped outside of our classroom? I "think" I recall that scene and hearing Marilou Gannon and some of the other girls commenting on how strange it would be to come back after 50 years. Now that we are there, it is strange. The time has flown by way too fast.

Here's to Marilou and all of the other classmates who are no longer with us.

25 Year Reunion Questionnaire Response:

Married to Jeanne in 1970 ... 3 children (Erin 11, Michael 7, and Meghan 3). Sales Manager at Universal Rundle Corporation. B.S. in Marketing at University of Tulsa. Enjoy golf, tennis and violin. Brother Rice 1959-1963, University of Tulsa 1963-1968 (football scholarship), U.S. Army 1968-1972 (helicopter pilot), Sears 1972-1978 (Buyer, National Headquarters), Universal Rundle 1978 to present. Most noteworthy experience was a trip to the auld sod to find the family castle in County Clare complete with moat and drawbridge - but no ghost.
